I’m sorry – not sorry!

As we head into a long winter weekend, I thought it would be a good time to recommend a fun series that’s very easy to binge watch.

The series was actually recommended to me by the husband of one of our followers. It’s funny, clever, slightly raunchy at times, and very entertaining!

I’m Sorry stars Amanda Savage, an extremely funny actress who plays a comedy writer living in LA with her husband and preschool daughter. It’s almost like a contemporary, female version of Seinfeld, set in LA. Well, not quite – but like Seinfeld each episode centers around an ordinary event that becomes problematic due to character’s neurosis. These events often involve her young daughter, her relationship with her husband, or her quirky older parents.

Like other shows I’ve recommended, each episode of I’m Sorry is only a half-hour. It’s a simple way to escape and have a good laugh, without having your adrenaline pumping so hard that you can’t fall asleep afterward! Due to the subject matter (parenting, marriage, middle age, etc) at times it can be a bit risqué. It’s never graphic, but there are definitely “mature” themes. I’m Sorry is no longer on Netflix, but is available on HBO Max and many other streaming services. Take a look at the trailer below and you’ll want to watch!

  1. Just watched the first season in front a roaring fire and LOVED it! Thanks for the recommendation. So glad there is a second season.

      1. Irreverent humor at its best – the thoughts in her head are just pure gold! We loved it! And yes, you were the one who sent us in that direction!!
