Continue reading “Working Out with Scout – Core and Pelvic Floor”You cannot separate the core from the pelvic floor, because your pelvic floor is part of your core,” says Dr. Hoover. She explains that the core consists of the deep back muscles, the abdominal muscle, the pelvic floor and the diaphragm, which all need to work in harmony to help support the spine and pelvis and help to prevent injury.

What we’re reading –
August is here, which means school is around the corner and days are getting shorter. We hope that you can squeeze a little more summer fun in before it comes to an end. So we’re giving you one more recommendation for a “summer beach read”. Take a look!
What’s the deal with….. pelvic physical therapy?!?!?
Yes, I’m really going there – “down there” in fact! Ha! I have a close friend who works as a massage therapist at a physical therapy practice, and a few months ago she mentioned that her practice had hired a new Pelvic Physical Therapist. Wait what???? Is that even a real thing??? And of course, within a week after our conversation, it seemed like I kept hearing and reading about Pelvic PT everywhere! Post from the Ozarks
What we’re watching –
I recently took a trip to the Ozarks to spend time with my family. But while I was there, I didn’t see the drug cartel, money launderers, the KC mob or even poppy farms. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then this Netflix recommendation is for you!

Just in time for the long holiday weekend AND the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, Bev and I decided to share our favorite tunes to celebrate the USA. Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend and that this adds to your excitement for the Olympics! It’s been great watching the Olympic trials (and Euro ‘21 and the Tour de France…) As an added bonus I’ve included an old throwback – the anthem from the 2010 World Cup – it’s a fun song and guaranteed to help you cheer on Team USA! 🇺🇸
